Livia has been a professional photographer since 2008 with a career spanning 3 continents. She is proficient with digital photography, studio and darkroom and has expert retouching skills in Adobe Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5.
I really believe in “Do what you love” because almost all of my photography jobs and exhibition opportunities came about simply because I was doing what I loved, and by chance and luck.
People often ask me what my favourite subject to photograph is and I’d have to say landscapes. I could sit outside in the freezing cold and darkness for hours if it meant I could capture the perfect sunrise (and I have done this many times). Apart from sunrises and sunsets I am also obsessed with the ‘golden hour’ and the ‘blue hour’, planning many things I do in my daily life or during my travels to coincide with this time (example here).

Unlike other travel bloggers out there who write about places they’ve never even visited and use other people’s photos (often without crediting) I only write about places I have been to, hotels, services or products I have used, and I take all my own photos. For this reason I do not accept guest posts.
